After a false start S/V Dragonheart and S/V Lyric left the Rio Dulce and headed for Belize. We had a great close hauled motersail up the coast and spent 3 wonderful days in New Haven in the solitutde of a small protected uninhabited lagoon.
Then it was time to check-in at Big Creek. It was hot, muggy and well a little uncomfortable. While the guys went to do the official dance, Debi, Cynthia and I were left to guard the boats. A quick question before the boys left and before you could spell hairdresser...I was on Lyric and Debi had her handy fiskar scissors firmly in hand. Hey, "where are you cutting my hair?" "Just above the scrunchy." Next thing I knew I was holding a scrunchy and about 1 1/2 feet of hair. Over the back of the boat it went and once again Cindy had short hair! Sure makes snorkeling easier and I use less water to wash my hair now.
Michael Jr and Brandi came to visit for 10 days. We had some crappy weather, but one glorious day out at Ranguana Cay in the middle of no-where. The snorkeling was great and on the ride home we had a pod of dolphin playing in our bow wake for a half hour. What a great day.
So now we are waiting for weather so we can move on and we may even have more visitors.
Stay tuned!
