We Have No Schedule

"We have no schedule". These words come out of the mouths of cruisers on a daily basis. Well, they and we are liars.

  1. We have company coming and must be in (fill in the blank) by.
  2. The weather is crappy and who wants waves over the bow.
  3. I need a high tide so we have to cross the bar by ( fill in the date).
  4. We need more veggies so we have to get back to (fll in the blank)
  5. The (fill in the blank) is not working

The list could go on but hey, "I have no schedule and a good book is calling by name."

So here we are back in Belize ready for some face time with the fish and sailing! More later.

Hi, guys!

Glad to know that SOMEBODY actually made it out from the Rio. If the stars align and the moon gets behind Mars, Carole (with an "e") Webster will receive our new Autopilot display on Wednesday and bring it to us by Saturday. This should put us back in business by Sunday. We'll let you know.

I wish we had no schedule... and that whole high tide thing at the bar, well, it's just ridiculous. We're back at Hotel California prepping for a haulout to fix the rudder post we bent while attempting to cross that damn bar. We're in good company but hope to see you in a few weeks in Belize. Enjoy your new freedom! P.S. We've been upgraded to a very wide plank so that must mean they think we might be sticking around for awhile

Don't feel bad. While everyone is worrying about crossing the bar at high tide, I'll be stuck watching the tide while getting high at the bar. Maybe I'll be able to join you next year in the quest to 'cross' it (fingers crossed).

When the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars...it may just be the dawning of the sailing of the good ship Katinka!

Meanwhile I have cast the runes, read the tea leaves and consulted the ancient ones....

They say; 'Woman can not lie straight in bed...'

have fun swimmin' with those fishes, eat one for me.
